UNESCO Appointed 9 Balinese Dances As World Heritage

At Namibia, Southern part of Africa that the UNESCO has appointed 9 Balinese dances become the world cultural heritage. This plan are submitted as a world heritage to Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity UNESCO. Still on Pagerwesi day of Balinese ceremony on 09.35 PM 9 Balinese Dances appointed as World Heritage by UNESCO. All Balinese people glad to hear this information, because this decision can protect Balinese dances to claim with the other ethnic or country.
9 Balinese dances belong to 35 World Cultural Heritage not a thing from some country. UNESCO meeting held on 2 days, start from 1 until 2 December 2015. From this meeting 9 Balinese dances is the only one representative from Indonesia.

Barong Ket Dance

Barong ket is a towering figure. Humanoid figure with a height twice the height of an adult. Male figure called Jero Gede, while his partner called Jero Luh. Legong Keraton Dance

Legong is a classical Balinese dance group that has a vocabulary of highly complex motion-bound with percussion accompaniment structure is said to be the effect of gambuh. Legong word is derived from the word “leg” which means dance flexible or pliable and “gong” meaning gamelan. “Legong” thus implies that bound dance (especially accentuation) by the accompanying gamelan. Gamelan is used to accompany the Legong dance called Gamelan Semar Pagulingan.Legong palaces developed in Bali in the 19th century the second half. Drama Tari Wayang Wong

Wayang Wong is basically the art of mask and puppet performances by human actors or people (wong).
